Topic: 3DS ambassador games revealed, coming Dec, 16th

I'm happy. Most of them I've owned, but FE and Kirby I have not. Kirby I've wanted a crack at, and I've always been curious about Fire Emblem but Advance Wars scared me off it as they have a similar design. I'm not a fan of those vs AI games where it's turn based and the AI cheats being able to see through the fog of war, or where you need to be like repetitive until win or psychic to know what the developer wants PER TURN or you die somewhere in a mission — great with friends, aggravation on your own. I skipped FE for the GBA this weekend at the flea for $10 when the chick raised it in front of me from $5 so I guess this is karma on her greedy butt.

Anyone thinking these won't be up for sale within a year or two is fooling himself. Come on, Nintendo is out to make money and selling these is an easy buck. We're getting them for free and before everyone else; that's more than enough of an apology.

Get ready to be turned into Kirby fans, non-believers.

i honestly hope they go on sale. maybe then the home button and wireless play would be made available. also, kirby and the amazing mirror, my favorite ever, i can't wait!

This line-up seriously made my week. This will be my first Fire Emblem game and I can't wait to play F-zero. Also, happy I passed on Kirby and the amazing mirror for $20 at Gamestop.

You'd think, but I also thought they would release far more games on the Wii VC or that there'd be VC on the DSi, so I wouldn't count on it.

The main reason i expect they'll eventually be released for sale is because Nintendo said their trademark "we have no current plans to do this" line, which pretty much always means they eventually will do it, just not yet.

You're in for a treat, Fire Emblem is awesome! Sacred Stones is still my favorite (I haven't played the Japanese only ones) as far as gameplay goes.

And wow, Australia has them already?? Isn't that really early? Or is it Friday there already...?

I doubt they'll do this, but I really hope they give it a 3D-enhanced border like the GB and GBC games on the eShop.

I haven't noticed AI cheating at least in DS AW but I haven't played GBA Advance Wars for some time so I'm not that sure about them. And you don't have to waste your whole life to win a mission killing enemy and dying just as much. You should learn during the game how you can win easier. Fire Emblem is pretty different from Advance Wars although it is from same developer. You can't make more and more troops for yourself so the battles are faster but you can't just rush like in AW as if your guy dies once, he won't come back.
I remember restarting few times in other FE for GBA when few of my best men got killed. And I remember when I just got the Dragon riding guy in one mission and then it got killed in the next mission.

Well, pretty much, nobody got screwed over.
People paid that price for the system because they thought it was worth it.
Nintendo didn't screw anyone over from lowering the price.
Everyone should just be grateful for their free games!

The Sleep Mode download option is really useful.
Makes the process a lot less difficult than it was with the NES games.

If I were running Nintendo we'd all be buying these games. I would have given some BS Dsiware games away and kept the GBA stuff (the real cash cow) as paid.

At least I can go to sleep with the comfort of knowing you guys are glorified beta testers for the rest of us. (No online play or save states is sad)
