I've been wondering how much usage people are still getting out of their 3DS and this is the perfect time to take a look back at 2019's 3DS activity. I'll start by listing mine:
Total play time in 2019: 187 hours 18 minutes
Top 5 most played games:
Pokémon Shuffle - 95:45
Culdcept Revolt - 45:06
Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia - 13:43
Animal Crossing: New Leaf - 11:45 (this is actually my 4 year old niece's play time)
Kirby's Star Stacker - 7:59
Pokémon Shuffle is still in the top spot. I've been playing it almost daily since it came out. It's almost completed. 60 more UX stages to S rank. Never spent any money on it.
Back in 2018 I had used my 3DS for 435 hours so this is quite the drop from that year. 2019 takes the record of least time spent with my 3DS which kind of makes me sad since I still love it to death. This was the year of huge Switch releases though so it's not all that surprising. FFX, Three Houses and Pokémon Sword alone have taken me at least 150 hours.
