Hello,

I have a question about the d-pad on the 2DS.The buttons require way more pressure
then the original 3DS to react well.

is This normal for the 2DS?

Thank you.

Way more pressure? Sounds like a sticky button. I know the 2DS construction is slightly different to the 3DS like the circle pad is just flimsier, so possibly the dpad will have a different feel as well but if it's uncomfortably hard to engage then I'd get it warranty'd by calling Nintendo support.

My 2DS's d-pad is more difficult to use than my 3DS's, but I'd describe it as "squishier" rather than requiring more pressure. I suppose it does require a little more pressure, but I have more of an issue with not being able to tell properly when it's pushed down properly - it doesn't "click" like the 3DS d-pad does.
If that sounds like what you're finding then I'd say it's normal, but if it does take way more pressure for you and you think somethings wrong then contact Nintendo support. (Or, if you can, try out another 2DS, maybe a demo unit in a shop, and see how it compares)

I think the increased pressure required is to accommodate little kids who "bash" the buttons more, not knowing how to press well. I am wagering that it will get easier the more you use it though, that's the nature of most buttons anyway. Either way, it doesn't sound like it's broken, which means there's nothing Nintendo would, or probably even could, do to make it better.

I have the 2DS only a few days so maybe the buttons become better if i play it for al while.
the buttons felt quite differently in comparison with the 3DS,but when I read your answers
i think it`s is a normal thing for the 2DS.

Thanks.
