So from the 16bit SNES/MegaDrive era, what's the games you'd get on the eShop (I know some of that has already been on Wii, but for my part old classics make just a perfect fit on that little handheld - way more than on a stationary home console).

For me it'd be :

• Super Mario World (already had it as advance version on GBA but still, its awesome)
• Link to The Past (obvious)
• Ninja Warrios (less known but awesome sidescrolling beat'em up)
• The 3 classic Mortal Kombats
• Golden Axe
• Streets of Rage / Double Dragon
• Final Fight
• World Heroes X
• The old Wrestling games (WWF - not happening due to licencing)
• Bomberman
• Secret of Mana
  ...
  and many many more, way too much to list.
  Heck 8bit is nice, but I am really more of a 16bit guy.

Just allow an update for wii/u owners to transfer there VC up to N64 on 3DS

I haven't played Golden Axe in soo long. Is it worth its price on Wii's VC?

I'd prefer GBA games since this is supposed to be a handheld VC, but SNES games would be cool too though. Knowing Sega with M2, I could see them beating Nintendo in the race by bringing Sega Genesis/MD to the eShop before Nintendo brings out SNES or GBA, but even that probably won't happen until a bunch of GG games come out first.

I'd also sell Sonic Classic Collection to the Flea Market if Sonic 1 to 3K came to the eShop. Sonic Classic Collection stripped out alot of things you could do in the Genesis/MD originals.

Dark Castle from the Sega Genesis. A classic in every sense!

"Sega beating nintendo at the races" which I hate because sega either doesn't localize them (online poyo-poyo wii vc) or when they do localize them, It's a crappy game! (Street fighter 2 genesis?!?!?!? that's inferior to the other versions!) Sega just give me sonic drift 1 because I won't be buying the crappy generations 3ds port that has it! Because the only good portable sonic was on a system nobody played (the neo geo pocket color)

BTW shouldn't this be in the "3ds virtual console" forums?

Blame hudson soft shutting down & being absorbed by konami & hudson soft games getting removed from the wii vc & yoshi's island should have released on wii not 3ds! (Stupid fx chip, you ruin everything!)

Donkey Kong Country 1-3. Then again, I'd also sort of like the GBA ports too, albeit with the palette fixed to not look so ugly.

And while it's not on the SNES or Genesis, would Wario Land 4 count as a 16 bit game? It could probably be run on a SNES if you ported it over, and it's definitely lacking from the 3DS Virtual Console (at least for non ambassadors).

Sega's too busy with lawsuits to do anything atm. Also, it's not much of a "race" if Nintendo owns the karts and the racetrack too
