My question to you is, do you prefer the original nintendo/super nintendo games before they were integrated with a leveling/rpg-style system or do you like the latter more?

A great franchise of games it has to be said. I am currently enjoying SotN for my first time on XBLA which is excellent in every way. Aside from that I really enjoyed the original NES and SNES Belmount outings.

Still I do wish the series would steer away from the Metroid style of retracing your steps searching for items. It is fine for SotN but its a bit of a pain that EVERY recent CV game is like this now. The straight-forwardness of CV4 made it a winner in my eyes.

I gave the two DS installments a brief try but I don't think the collectathon thing works as well on a handheld platform. Ultimately I got bored and switched off.

C'mon Konami, give us more Rondo of Blood and CV4 action!
