For all of those people outside of the UK, we're sorry but no-one else has offered us any 3DS' for competitions - don't moan at us, moan at your publishers! Great job Ubisoft UK!

Denkou said:

Hm... Dissapointed that only UK gets this one, but I can deal. Good luck UK users!

3DS said:

ohhh yeah woohoo sorry for everyone who cant enter fingers crosed that i win

theblackdragon said:

guys, if you're posting a comment just to moan, do yourself a favor and don't. i will be deleting them.

good luck to our UK-based users! :3

@Tj92: that's okay, your entry will be disqualified during the selection process.

Kevember said:

I'm getting mine on Sunday so I won't complain; now I'm happy for the people that thought they couldn't get it and now they get a chance to win one with some games. Good luck everybody!

JeanLuc_Vaycard said:

Good luck UK people and if you ever decide you don't want it I am willing to take it off your hands. I will even pay the shipping

Chris720 said:

I must now kill all other UK based NLifers... <.< >.>

Good luck to everyone who entered, lets hope we all win lol.

accc said:

You raised my hopes and then dashed them quite expertly! Bravo, Nintendolife!

(Maybe you should mention in the headline that this is UK only so that people won't be angry after they click on the article.)

TeeJay said:

Yeah the fact that the letters "U" and "K" weren't together in the title confused me.

Doma said:

Hey, that's nice.
My hatred for Ubisoft has decreased slightly.

jackaroo said:

Damn. For a moment I thought I was still in the UK and entered lol. Sorry about that.

Gameday said:

Ha i was about to submit til i read only UK , its all good. Did the US have this kinda giveaway just wondering i always seem to miss em when they do. Good Luck UK users.

Tasuki said:

Wow good luck to all the UK people who entered. I hope they have a 3D contest for the US. Any chance of that happening?

James said:

@Tasuki As we've said, we can only offer as prizes what we're given from publishers: sadly, we can't afford to buy 3DS consoles to give away to readers!

SuperSinSlayer77 said:

Whoops. I entered without reading this is for UK residents only. So please disregard my entry and sorry for making this mistake.

Tasuki said:

@James_Newton: And why not???? You are the best Nintendo fan site around cant you claim that on taxes or something? J/k I totally understand hopefully the publishers will have something like that for US. I am sure that if you could buy on for all your readers you guys would. Cause you are that freakin awesome.

RyuZebian said:

Oh, that explains it. :3 I was looking around sking myself "Hey, where's my useless comment?" xD Turns out it's in the useless-comment graveyard, among with it's relatives "offensive" and "confusing." Oh well. I guess I'll just give the generic "Good luck" then. Uninteresting to read, but slightly nicer.
Good luck, UK chaps! And if there be any gals entering, extra good luck to you!

Yadoking said:

Aw, man. When I saw the headline I knew it was going to be UK but I hoped to sweet justice that I was wrong. Good luck UK residents!

Morpheel said:

Good luck everyone

I am not from the UK, but... If my entry gets choosen... Can i pick a winner?

3DS said:

@35 same hi-5 finers crossed i realy deserve it since iv never won anything in my life please please please pick me as one of the winners

Noire said:

So if I change my little flag by my name, can I enter the contest?

Zach said:

@PhoenixSage That'd be a great way to trick us, and a terrible way to try to receive prizes, as we will realize something is wrong when you turn in a Canadian mailing address. We'll have to go back, draw another winner, and probably delay everyone's prize shipment in the process - it'll be a huge headache, so if you like NL and want us to like you, don't do it!

Also, good luck to all UK users!

James said:

I think Feenie was joking, but then again I can never take anything she says seriously anyway.

For what it's worth, regardless of the flag by your username, we can find out which country you're from with absolute ease, just so you know

Portista said:

Yay! I entered, and good luck to all the other players. I'm an American, but I live in the UK, so I changed my profile to UK.

theblackdragon said:

@Portista: No, you don't — or at least that's not where you're visiting the site from. As James has already said, attempting to fool us will not work.

Aviator said:

As the Supreme Neked Waterpolo and Basting King, my location can never be determined.

Competition entered!

jaffa said:

I wonder if James Newton will enter this comp......
Good luck to people in the UK

wiigamer93 said:

entered so glad the only chance to win one of these was not on that stupid Facebook competition lol

cammy said:

I guess there is no chance to expanding the competition to include all of Ireland instead of just Northern Ireland? (I can't be the only NLifer in the ROI)

invmat said:

Too bad I live in the Netherlands .

Good luck everybody !
And thank you, NL, for these kinds of competitions !

Phobos said:

Say you were out of the U.K. for a while (but you do live there), yet you still had a postal address in the U.K. you could use to pick it up? Or would it still be disqualified?

Linkstrikesback said:

Nice, already got one and rayman, but If on the minute chance I win, I can give it to my sister.
Good luck everyone!

Doma said:

Will you be accepting the entries from people who just registered? they’re probably dupe accounts.

Lotice-Paladin said:

Looked up the answer, but the Wiki seems to have the guys name wrong. XD

If I do win (not likely), I don't use my googlemail address at all so they'll have to ask me for the Hotmail E-Mail instead (n n)

Noire said:

For the record, I was indeed joking, especially since I think half the staff knows I don't live in the UK anyways. XD

Good luck to all of you who are able to participate~!

Gameday said:

I can say im jealous now since we didnt get a contest lol i mean who wouldnt want a free 3ds among other things , o well it is what it is im still gonna get mine sooner than later woulda been better now andf for free ha. cant wait to see who wins gl

3DS said:

@77 it will be me ha ha ha nah never will be me since i never win everything but it would be awsome since im the 3DS

Lotice-Paladin said:

Well it'll definately be a bigger probability then winning the lottery since there must be about a few hundred UK based users here, so the chances are pretty high.

Chris720 said:

I have a feeling three new users are going to register and win... grr... please let me win Lady Luck... pleeeeeaaaasssseeee

3DS said:

@79 there not aloud. Here this is what theblackdragon said in a earlier comment in a reply to someone else : I'm going through all the new users as they sign up and checking for dupes, don't worry.

Bass_X0 said:

They can be new users and not duplicates. Other than that, there's no post count or account age length restrictions that I can see. Its fair to say that there will be a lot of new 3DS users or people interested in the 3DS. Whoever wins, it'll be a great prize. But I hope its me.

theblackdragon said:

@3DS: what i was talking about was existing users signing up duplicate accounts so that they could enter the contest multiple times — that is not acceptable. What Demon is talking about, however, is brand new users signing up for an account at NL for the sole purpose of entering this contest. That's fine, it happens all the time, and some even wind up sticking around to hang out with the rest of us. :3

daydreamer said:

hello I signed up yesterday but definitely not for the purpose of entering the contest
I already ordered 3DS anyway.. it's going to be my first nintendo console! I never had DS nor Wii

mewichigo12 said:

oooooh i entered quite late.. i'm probrably not gonna win..... i never win anything so im used to it v.v

Chris720 said:

@TBD That's exactly what I meant. What peeved me off with that CoD:Black Ops contest you held a few months back, three dudes won who nobody even knew... how is that fair? D:

Okay sure, it brings in new users, but having a contest won by a complete newbie to the site, who might not even stay after entering/winning, really annoys me...

That's my rant over... :/

@86 Actually, the later you are, the better chance you are at winning. Well, at least in raffles anyways...

James said:

@xDemon720x New users have every much chance of winning as people who've been around for years — that is very fair.

The name will be drawn completely at random, so it really doesn't matter when you entered.

Lotice-Paladin said:

Being late isn't always the case. I have seen people win with early raffle's completely random and the luck of the draw.

Newbies who win doesn't make a difference.

colmtheperson said:

I assume they're including Ireland in their definition of UK... Same publishers, same games, same release dates etc!

Robo-goose said:

Now THAT is a contest! I would say "good luck" to you UK people, but considering that everyone is going against each other, that would be a bit redundant.

Luffymcduck said:

"Ubisoft will distribute the prizes directly and the competition is open to UK residents only."

This should have been Caps Locked since I entered before noticing it. Sorry. I still don´t get why this is for people in UK only.

theblackdragon said:

@Luffymcduck: There's a 'UK' in the title of the page itself, and the reason it's for people in the UK only is because the prizes were offered up by Ubisoft's UK division. As Ant said in reply #2, don't look at us — look to your local publishers for answers why no 3DSes have been offered up as prizes for your area of Europe. :3

MadScientistMan said:

i entered, i hope i win
Oh and good luck to everyone else

Why do people say this Is the only comp in the uk With a 3DS prize, it is not, the gadget show have one 2 win
Every week

James said:

The Gadget Show gives away everything, though. It's like each week they close down a branch of Curry's Digital and post out its contents!

Chris720 said:

@James I'm not the only one who thinks that then!

Besides, you can't always win on The Gadget Show, you're probably going up against half (if not more) of the country, so the cahnces of YOU winning is slim to none.

Lotice-Paladin said:

I used to enter the Gadget Show a lot but I don't do that anymore. At least I had a chance. I like how they are varied in tech and the challenges they do.

Portista said:

@3DSand@theblackdragon Yeah, I made a profile just to enter the Mario Sports Mix contest, and look here. I'm still hanging around.

Silly_Muffin said:

Good luck guys and gals, hope I win else I gotta lota saving up to grab me one of those sexy 3DS's

Wolfy-Boey said:

I registered for the sole purpose to enter this contest. I'm really tight on money, so I really hope I win. I've been foaming in mouth with anticipation for this glorious handheld, I NEED IT IN MY LIFE!

Collision_Cat said:

Wish people would stop complaining it's UK only. Do you know how much of a pain games have been here in the past (slow, letterboxed PAL) and still are sometimes (games being released here later, some not being released at all)? =P

theblackdragon said:

Guys, even after the close of a contest, it always takes a few days before the winner/s is/are announced. Please relax, go do something else for a while, and when a winner is chosen, it'll be front-page news, we promise. :3
