In a meeting with a bunch of analyst-boffin types, Nintendo God (read: president) presented Nintendo's projected hardware sales with the consoles markup (both Wii and DS) staying at their current, full asking price.

To be honest we can't see why Nintendo would drop the price of either console seeing as it has virtually trampled both the PS3 and 360 since being released late 2006.

Given that Microsoft have dropped the price of their 360 console many believed Nintendo would answer with a price drop to both their popular Wii and DS consoles. Here at NintendoLife we never thought a price drop was likely.

We do expect a "fitness" package to release around Christmas time including a Wii console, Wii Sports, Wii Fit and the Nintendo Balance Board for around £200-£220 however.
