Tokyo, June 7th saw Nintendo's Corporate Policy Briefing 2006, this was the meeting where we learnt that Wii release date and price would be announced by September this year. Nintendo have now released the transcript and a full English translation of the speech issued by the Nintendo President.

"President Satoru Iwata addressed a group of media, analysts, and shareholders to reiterate his vision for the future of the video game industry. In his presentation, Mr. Iwata focused on the need to use technological advancement in video game hardware to make games interesting to a broader array of potential players. He believes the key to the hearts of the general population is to make games fun for the entire household."
